I am really behind in my posting lately, but as with everything in my life at the moment, I am playing catch up due to fifteen weeks of basically being a slacker. However, I am now happy to announce that I am properly medicated, and for the most part, feeling pretty good. Yea for drugs and a husband that encourages me to take them!

Back to the point-in catching up with my posting, I wanted to share a few pics of Edie playing at the Discovery Zone in Chattanooga. Several weeks ago Ken was out of town. So my friend and I decided to load up our minivan’s worth of kids and head north. Let me just take this moment to tell you how much I love Chattanooga. There are a bazillion different things to do with your kids-fish, trains, Rock City, and what we decided to patron, the Discovery Zone.

Edie had a blast there painting, pretending, and generally acting a fool. Well, except for the first fifteen minutes when we entered the place. As we walked through the door, I told her that if she was somewhere she could not see me, it meant certain doom would follow. Sometimes it is scary how well you know your kid. Depsite my threats, she took advantage of the two seconds I was distracted paying the cashier to take off and run away. Then I had to spend the next ten minutes frantically climbing the three story jungle gym.

In my heart of hearts I knew she was in there somewhere because I had only turned my back for a second, but in my irrational pregnant mommy brain, I just knew someone had seen how adorable she was and decided to keep her for their own. By the time I finally found her, I had worked myself up into a pretty good frenzy and decided that she was going to pay for scaring her mommy like this and probably wish that somebody had, in fact, abducted her!

Well after that fiasco, Edie decided that it was in her best interest to behave and follow the rules, and a fun time was had by all. Here is another pic of her in the sand pit digging for dinosaur bones, and more importantly, obeying her mommy.
