Last year for Christmas my parents gave Edie her very own kid-sized digital camera. And between you and me, it doesn’t take very good pictures (even if you aren’t three and a half feet tall), but I still get a kick out of seeing what pictures Edie has taken. It’s like a little window into her world of what she finds interesting…for the most part, that’s feline body parts and pictures of her family with only half of their heads.
Last night, I moved the pictures from her camera onto the computer, and I decided to share some of my favorites with you. Enjoy!
This is a picture of me getting dressed on Easter morning 2009. I am pinning my shirt because it was too low and therefore, not appropriate for Sunday church. The capture could have been worse. It could have been a picture of me yelling at everybody to get dressed in a hurry and fussing because I can’t find everybody’s shoes…our normal Sunday morning ritual.

This picture made me laugh, and I’m pretty sure it will get a comment from my mother because it’s so flattering of her. For those of you who have never met her, she looks a lot better than this in real life.

This is what I looked like in the mornings before Roark was sleeping through the night. I thought she captured my mood perfectly.

Roarkie’s eyeball…nice catch light!

This one is my favorite even though I am pretty sure she took it by accident. Edie asked me this morning while holding her camera, “Mommy, am I an artist?” I thought of this picture and said, “As much as anyone else.”

Ken making goofy faces for the camera and posing like he’s in an issue of GQ.

I think she caught him doing something he’s not suppose to be doing.

This picture was taken on our girl trip to the beach last September. Doesn’t my face just say “Vacation!”? Not Roarkie though…since his whole life is a vacation, he pretty much always looks like that.

Not sure why this one made the cute from 262 pictures, but for some reason, I just liked it.
Of course, he’ll smile all day when his big sister is taking pictures of him, but if I pull out MY camera, it’s only sour puss faces for Mommy.

Just lovin’ on my boy and trying to get him to giggle.

Holy Cow … who is the old woman with all the age spots and wrinkles? I think the least you could do was have Edie do a little Photoshop work on that photo. And, I had some rough days in life and that must have been one of the roughest….
